This guide will help you add your new template to Marketo. Note that email 2.0 must be enabled, see the Marketo documentation for more details.
1. Unzip and open the html.
Your template is contained in a .zip file. Unzip the folder and open the file named Allegro-newsletter-2.0.html (As you can see, the layout looks a bit strange, this is normal. It will all work well once imported in the Marketo Editor)
2. Once opened, right click the template and use “view source”
3. Copy the code from this page.
4. Add the template to Marketo
Go to Marketo Design Studio and create a new Email Template. Edit your new template. Delete any existing code, paste the new code and approve.
5. Customize and start using it!
You may need to change colors, fonts or links, or even delete modules to adapt the template to your brand and needs. The easiest way to customize your template is to use the Marketo 2.0 editor. To do this, create a new email from the Template, use the Editing tools to adapt it to your brand and use “save as template”. When you are ready to create your first email, start from this new version.
Note that all images used in our templates are public domain and free of copyrights. Images are hosted on our amazon servers and also available in the zip file if you prefer to hist it on your own servers.
